I'll enter next month too - just got back from a tour of the UK and trying to catch up with stuff. I'm sure that the grass shouldn't sound like breaking dry noodles when I walk on it . . .

I have recently returned from a tour of the Netherlands, and there too, is a lot of dry noodle grass. Probably a continental thing.
