mondmagu, the 100mm L macro lens is as good as they say it is, so good choice!

I'd like the 200-400 f4 IS L with built in 1.4x converter. But A) it ain't out yet and B) will be bloody expensive - but as its free in this exercise,  :2funny:

Nikon have a 200-400mm F4 VR II without the converter.

Actually yeah the 200-400 would be high up the list.  But I know I'd almost never use it.

You guys know you can rent lenses, right?  200-400 is less than £200 for a week.  Satisfy that gear lust.
It's Guest's round

Being more modest a Nikon 70-200 2.8 vrII would suffice - when can I expect delivery?  ;)

The photo fairy still hasn't left anything under my pillow. :'(

it would have to be a second body.
At this stage, a 1D4, but if the 1Ds4 or 1D5 were to appear any time soon, then they would be preferred.

I did consider the 'Blad - but in all honesty i would need a second wish to get the Mac Pro with ALL bells and whistles to process the files it produced!  :uglystupid2:

Well if it's a wish list then could be the Nikon 200mm F2 VR II or Nikon 300mm F2.8 with VR II or the Nikon 400mm F2.8 with VR II or the Nikon 500mm F4 VR II or the Nikon 600mm F4 VR II or the Sigma 200-500mm F2.8 or the Nikon 1200-1700mm F8-F11 and a big bag to put them all in!  ;D

Horses for courses, would be perfect for 90% of the motorsport I do - though I do shoot close sometimes, so I'd have to stick to my 24-105 for that. Would be good for wildlife too.

I've hired both the 300mm f2.8 and 100-300 F2.8 for a couple of different events I've done. Would love to buy both - but SWMBO would not be impressed   :knuppel2:
