This Was My Southport Scott Kelby Competition Entry 2011, it didnt get anywhere, as the standards were high with some great competition entries  Clicky Here to see the others, it was great fun day out, we  met loads of great people, and the sun shone all day for us, looking forward to next years Well done to Terry Donnelly for organising it and choosing the winning image

Maybe it's coming back into fashion. Time to dust off my copies of Photomatix and Dynamic Photo . .

OK, winning shot has got 'Abers' in it, looking at a picture. I appreciate you haven't met him Dave, but of those who have - they will vouch for me on that one 
In fact, that may even be one of his exhibitions - we've had 2 meets going to Abers Exhibitons...

Of the others - i'm puzzled as to where the walk went.

Water on Southport beach in the summer? It must have been raining, or some one is really talented with Photoshop!
I like a bit of HDR, and when it is done well, it is second to none but 1 or 2 of those did not come across as appealing.
Why that end of Lord Street?
Why not the 'lane' leading up to the sea front lake? or the road between Lord Street and the lake?
Where was the smallest pub?
The pier shot was not bad - but what about the lake and the bridge leading up to the pier?
No one ever been to Eastbank Street? That can be quite interesting where it joins on to Lord St.

Damn, now i've got to pop up and get some decent pictures of Sou' ee   
The funfair? I know it's not what it used to be but...

Never been to Southport, not that I can remember.

  Not bald, never wear jeans and never owned a pair of trainers. A terrible case of mistaken identity M'lud.

Could be my old Dad again!
