The ENTRIES thread is HERE

This week's theme is NOISY. No, not a noisy, as in grainy or chromatic noise. The world is full of NOISY things, so take a picture of something that makes a lot of noise - perhaps something that makes rather more noise than it should. Try to show how NOISY the thing or things are. Have fun.

No restrictions on PP.

Pictures to be taken between now and Sunday  15th May 2016, 23:59.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23:59pm Monday 16th May 2016.
Poll will be up Tuesday 17th May 2016.
Winner to be announced Saturday 21st May 2016.

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to

Post a topic on the Sunday (or sooner) following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)

In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.

I thought one of my wedding disco shots with grainy noise would qualify but too early. back for a few days before my road trip but lots of editing, a dodgy PC again (new one beckons!) and poorly fathger in law all spells trouble and strife! Guessing I`ll be missing a while yet

Sorry to hear that their is more illness in the family Paul. Hope it all turns out OK.

Go and buy a new PC and make you life a little easier :)

I think you might be right with that one H re: the PC. I`ve nursed it through and got the wedding discs/ dvds/ slideshows  done and posted off so more relaxed now. I`ll be finishing all my backing up of key stuff and then making the plunge I think.
Current panic is that my wife is just not keen on making the USA trip on Saturday because her dad`s poorly. Doesn`t feel bad enough to go into hospital and dr said his blood etc is better than usual but still fighting off a bad chest infection. Arranged for 3 lots of carers a day to go in but still not happy. Meanwhile the insurance lot suggest it`s not bad enough to make a payout so we lose the lot if  we don`t go   :(

Difficult, especially as she lost her mother not so long ago.

it's not quite Saturday yet, maybe he'll improve, and she'll feel better about it. Fingers crossed.

Hope all is going well Paul.

It made me jump with all its noise yesterday - our Starlings usually hatch two clutches each, so hopefully numbers will not drop too badly this year

Nature is plain nasty. Cats doubly so . .

I still have no idea what to do for this week's challenge, although a yoof did go past me yesterday on a moped with a race can on - that was very noisy.

So, there I was wondering what to take a picture of for the challenge when I realised that I was wearing ear defenders . . . so problem solved.

Grateful for a pause in splitting a pile of logs I took a shot of the top of the machine and the ear defenders:
