METAL MACRO
This is the CHAT THREAD
The ENTRIES THREAD is HERE (https://cameracraniums.com/forum/index.php?topic=5629.new#new)
Showing, as usual, a total lack of imagination under pressure I am segueing from last week's topic into METAL MACRO. So a close up shot of something either metal or representing metal, or something absolutely huge made of metal - MACRO here is the dictionary rather than photographic definition - 'long, large, large scale'.
Anything goes re: processing.
Pictures to be taken between now and Sunday 24th January 2021 but if you are struggling this week one from your archive is fine.
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23:59 Monday 25th January 2021.
Poll will be up Tuesday 26th January 2021.
Winner to be announced Saturday 30th January 2021.
The Rules for the weekly competition are...
By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on the Sunday (or sooner) following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc)
In case of a tie, the first entry posted wins.
Was just thinking I should dust out my Nikon gear and do some macro shots with added extension tubes I`ve barely used. Hmm - metal limits it a bit. i`ll have to get thinking - once you`re close up it`s hard to tell what it is. ???

I doesn't have to be all metal Paul, just mostly. Think jewellery, small machine parts, coins, anything engraved or embossed, pitted, rusty . . .

A macro of a ballpoint wouldn`t look like anything is what I`m thinking - lit or not
Here's mine. I was trying to do one of those cliched cityscapes made from screws, but they kept on falling over (I didn't have any plasticine or blutak), so I went for a macro of the Floyd Rose bridge on my Schecter guitar.

I was going to do a cityscape of screws too but couldn`t be bothered to go out to the garage for my toolbox. Lockdown has beaten me! :D Was going to enter an old building image but decided I`d play in the kitchen and from those got this macro of a very small whisk we have. I lies unused in the kitchen draw as do so many other unused implements.
