I need to reload Lightroom onto my laptop.
I originaly loaded LR2 via disc and then upgraded to LR3 via upgrade disc.
Can I just load it afresh from the upgrade disc or do I have to load LR2 again and then upgrade it?
I suspect the question is going to be longer than the answer!  :-[

Why not just download it and enter your key?

I know, I know, it's Adobe software so that's probably just too easy . .

Should be able to load from the upgrade disk, but might have to use LR2 to confirm you are entitled to use the upgrade. Not sure on lightroom, but with CS3 I had to contact Adobe before it would register, as you only get two goes now.  :(

OK, definitive answer on this

You insert LR3 upgrade disc - it will ask you for the licence key.
It will then tell you this is an upgrade disk and could you enter the licence key for the original LR2 disk.

Once both lines get the tick, you carry on with a single installation of LR3

I learned the hard way, you don't have to   ;)

Thanks for the replies folks. I thought that was the case.
  I'll have a go in a bit.
