FAO those who knew him
I have just been told by Donny (vxisme) that Howard has passed away.
He has had a heart attack.
More details will follow, but for now deepest sympathies to his family and friends.

Sorry to hear that Alf.  :(
Didn't know him but remember some of the shots he posted, and they were wonderful.

Very sad news.

Only knew him through DCM, but he seems like a really nice guy.  Great photographer too.  Thoughts go out to his family and friends.

oRgie, thanks for posting the link to Howard's Galleries.  As you said they speak for themselves.

Condolences to Howard's family. A talented photographer and a gift to those of us who love photographic images.

I just spent half an hour or so skimming thru the gallery and was full of awe at most of the images I saw -I will have to go back for a proper look before DCM delete the galleries :( (I only hope his family have got copies somewhere of them)

Saw mention of this on flickr. Very sad, great photographer and very generous with his praise too.
