Title: Shutter Count
Post by: skellum on December 27, 2010, 05:16:38 PM
I was told about this Shutter count programme that a Pro Tog in Crosby has used. I tried it myself and it is accurate to a Canon 1D counter I have been using. I have been told it should work on most if not all cameras, you just need to upload a picture from you computer to find out. Here is the link  www.regex.info/exif.cgi  please let me know if it works... :legit:

Irfanview gives the shutter count, for Nikons at least. Just need to have it in your own pc and no need for any uploading

I tried it on some old images from my Canon 30D which gave me everything but a shutter count, but my 1D Mkii is 61,753  and the 1D Mk11n is 37,215

Doesn't work on the later Canon ISTR.

I know my MkIII has done about 60K - but only because I know - my 5D has done about 25K I think.

Shows 8,041 shots on my D200. Bought it used and was never quite sure. At least 2000 of those are mine so looking back I got quite a good deal on the camera. ;D

I use Opanda which shows my D3 as 105167 shots and my D200 at 24,000 odd.  ;D

Thanks Dave. That's useful. 11,000 on my d300. I always wondered how people knew their shutter count.

WOW. Didn't realise there was that much info in a picture. :-[ Finally found the shutter count on my 1Dmkll 17,616. Almost brand new. ;D
Wouldn't give the shutter count on the 7D though.
