CHAT THREAD

Entries thread is here: http://cameracraniums.com/forum/index.php?topic=4387.new#new

Weekly competition – Sunday 21st June - Sunday 28th June 2015 -  Angle on Architecture

This week I want to see your take on architecture but not a standard angle. Make it jaunty / dramatic - just show us what might be your favourite local building in something less than the tourist snap way.  Edit how you wish.

Pictures to be taken between the times above,
Pictures to be posted in the entries thread no later than 23.59pm Monday 29th June 2015.
Poll will be up Tuesday 30th June 2015
Winner to be announced Saturday 5th July 2015

The Rules for the weekly competition are...

By entering you agree to take responsibility to
Post a topic on, or before the Sunday following your declared win
Create an entries thread
Create a chat thread
Create a poll for that weeks comp and declare the winner on the Saturday
(if for any reason there is a problem and no subject is posted by the winner by Monday night admin will advise second place winner to post the topic asap, do the poll etc.)

jinky

As said elsewhere I will be away during this period. I might post one to keep up the numbers if time before I go but not around to set up the poll etc so if some kind soul could do the honours to keep things moving I`d be grateful.

I'm off on my jolidays next week and won't be entering this one (or indeed the current one). Might be in the week after next, but internet will be generally unavailable to me for a while. Have fun while I'm away

Most people do not give feedback, unless asked for, as not everyone takes kindly to unasked for advice.
I never give feedback, because I don't know what I'm talking about. (Technical stuff I mean.) I will say whether or not I like a picture, but that's about it.

Somewhere on the site there is a thread for feedback, but you can always start a new thread and specifically ask for advice.

Recently people started to comment on competition entries, so maybe you will get some once the poll is closed.

The Digital Photo Group used to run a monthly competition and 2 people would write crits for each photograph - one was nearly always me.

It actually good for your own photography too as you do look at the pictures in a different light. I rarely had any abuse from my comments - though one does spring to mind where the tog did tell me the picture had been really hard to take due to the position of something or other so I should have not have been - so hard on it. Like I knew that, or frankly cared
