Just realised I am away next week so I'm not sure if I will have an internet connection! So if there is no poll say by 1700hours on Tuesday, would somebody kindly do it for me??  :-\

Hinfrance

No worries Kerry, I'll do it for you.

My entry won't be in until Monday - I'm a bit busy tomorrow.

Thanks, I'll try to do it but can't guarantee it!

I`m in with a shot of a Mother`s Day  flower which I tried to give an impressionistic feel to. You don`t notice so much until you click on it to go larger.

That's nice. Mine was an attempt at high key lighting

I went for a quick grab shot of some tulips SWMBO was given by some friends for getting them some baking powder so they could make scones. Used my new LX100 (not been put off by Jinky's experience and didn't have enough dosh for one of the Sonys). Run through On1 and then Affinity using Topaz Simplify and fiddled with a bit.

I used my LX100 for my entry too. I`ve used it a fair bit for holidays when there have been windy beaches or travelling really light. Just not good for low light levels I find

Hinfrance

Just swivelled the image around 90 degrees.

I've been taking pictures with mine at ISO 1600 and f1.7  - clear and sharp as you like. That'll do for me  ;)

Yes its fine at 1600 bt once beyond there cannot match my fuji

Hinfrance

Interesting - I'm too old school I reckon. In my mind ISO 400 is an high ISO. I don't think I've ever used anything more than ISO 3200 on any camera, and then only because of low light and a slow (f5.6) lens. My old Fuji X series compacts were unacceptably noisy at 400.

Of course, if money were no object then a higher end camera would be acquired, but as it is one has to live within one's means. It's not like I'm a government or anything . . .   :legit:

Poll is up now - and I found a picture from Jediboy in the competition file, but not in the entries thread - I added it anyway. Hope that's OK Chris?

Jediboy

Thanks H. I was using an archive photo as I didn't get a photo this week. And then didn't enter it in the thread!  :uglystupid2:
Cheers.
May the Force be with you.

Chris

Kerry Holt

Thanks for sorting the poll out for me! I'm back now.
