What made you feel good today

....those litle things that brighten the day.....

Sunshine and another chance to try out my new 400mm Tokina at lunchtime.....great fun!

Went out today full of excitement to take some more shots of Butterflies, from the field I had been using. Heard a noise and found one of the rangers cutting the grass! All the wildflowers on which the insects feed cut down.  >:(
Still it was a nice afternoon with very little wind. Could have done with that last month.  ;D

Spoke too soon. Half hour after I posted that grey low clouds came in and remained all day. On the news today thay said tomorrow would be cloudier!  :(

Well - definitely a good weather lens if you're handholding. Upped the ISO to keep the shutter speed as high as poss. I uploaded a couple of pictures of my dog and a hoverfly and a yellow rose. I love the way a lens like this can really throw the background OOF - will hopefully try it at the next dog show for a few portraits.

Good weather lens. that's a good way of putting it. I've given up on AF with mine it hunts too much even in really bright sunshine. Still it is a good lens, I keep by my back door for shooting my bird feeders where it's always within a turn or so of focus.

Well the weather men were wrong again today. Forecast more cloud than yesterday, and we had less with load of sunshine, shame about the strong wind!  :o
