Nice job Chris. If the amount of effort you put in to this is reflected in the voting you'll walk it.I have got a few ideas, but as you can guess the middle of rural France is not overly endowed with heavy industry. All right, there isn't any, and there never was . . so I shall have to be a bit lateral.
I've thought of quite a few other activities that often have the word 'industry' tagged onto the end of them too . .
Chris, I hope the sun still sets in the west.
This is the (original I believe) pit wheel from Wearmouth Colliery. It is outside of the main reception of Sunderland's Football Club, The Stadium Of Light, which is built on the old colliery site......I waited for the right time after sunset, to catch the fire in the sky. I tried different angles but was limited because of an annoying lamp post in front of the wheel. You can also see the skeleton of a crane, where the shipyards used to be. It's a stark reminder of the industries that were the lifeblood of Sunderland, mining and ship building, now replaced with car building and call centres. I love how the steeple of the church in the distance is silhouetted between the spokes of the wheel. Hope you like it. It's my 1st attempt but not necessarily my final entry.
