Dangerous topic Andy - could have some controversial entries. Not to mention it might make my head ache a lot.

I was thinking more of religion and politics, but your point is well made

In mixed company, the topics sex, religion and politics used to be avoided.
A golden rule, that still stands, as far as I'm concerned.
But, I'm not sure, you should ask me for 'strange ideas'!
I have a very creative, and vivid imagination at times.

My dark dolls spring from other people's imagination Andy.
When I showed a 'nostalgic/vintage' type shot of my own, now vintage, doll, I had no intention of making a 'scary picture.' And it wasn't. Not to me anyway.
It was only when people started to comment how scary it was, that I actually tried to make some really scary stuff.
And still they are not scary to me. it's something about dolls that freaks some people out.

That is why I used the ;) ;D
I missed it! Oh dear!
Haven't had any crazy/strange ideas yet!
Now you started something Andy! I'll have nothing but strange ideas from now on. Triggered by almost anything.
What about this Virgin with a need for Speed?

:2funny: Well spotted Reinardina :2funny:
I wonder what sort of speed? Go faster or funny stuff associated with weed - Advertising boffins need to be very careful how they word things, or have Virgin invented / launched a new product called Speed? :-\
In my humble opinion, the static font and graphics used do not suggest the Internet going faster. And not a mention ;) upon RAM

It would make a brilliant shot if the van was being pushed by pedestrians :2funny:
My first thought was the amphetamine type of speed, but, being a virgin, she may want to speed towards something else. And as this is a family friendly site, I'll leave it at that.
I 'dug out' a recent shot, that some of you have already seen, but that would fit the theme perfectly. I think.
I apologise to you Andy, for accusing you of triggering off my 'mad' side, as it was obviously already in working order, before you set the theme.
When hunting for 'Industry' shots in the dock area of Southampton, I came across this damsel in distress; tied up and unable to get away, and thus helplessly waiting for those nasty yellow monsters to devour her.

I have been struggling with this, but have come up with an idea, but, its very strange............
I'm still struggling to come up with an idea to photograph Chris. I guess it may end up being an edited image with a strange twist or unusual aspect.
No worries Reinardina, my madness was triggered a long time ago ;D
Congrats on the win Andy!
This week's topic is certainly making me think - I might have to go and find some more Morris Dancing!
Actually saw someone yesterday whose clothing reminded me of a Morris Dancer. Shot from the hip, it is just about okay to use, if I don't find something else.

It's a tough one for me too; If I cannot come up with an idea, I guess I could do a :uglystupid2: selfy :-[ :2funny:

That's often the last resort of many a photographer Andy, so not that unusual!
Keep thinking.
I`ve promised myself I`ll try and get an entry in this week and get back to some shooting. Just need a strange idea!
Right all done. Hope I don`t regret this as I have not submitted my patent yet! :uglystupid2:
This is my brand new, retro Fruti XP100 camera which is in development. Made almost entirely of fruit and driven by citric acid it is the ultimate environmentally friendly camera. Another major company asked me to work with them in development but I never work with apples.

Brilliant !
Paul, so glad you're back in competition mood!
Not till I saw your brandnew camera design, did I realise how much I've missed your innovative entries!
Not so much mood as time Reinardina. I`ve had very little time to shoot for the last 3 months with my mum still in hospital and regular trips to Newcastle. Just been doing a few weddings etc and no photography for myself so thought I`d have a laugh this week and join in.
Shall I put you down for 100 H and make you my French importer? ;)

Only if you include a garlic bulb for the flash! :uglystupid2: :2funny: :2funny:
Damn - I never thought of that when I was blowing out the lime for the flash!
That'll be something for the next version.
My entry this week probably needs some explanation. I'm very busy, and probably lacking sufficient imagination to think up a shot especially for this subject. Archaeology is taking up all my time. A broch has just been found nearby. Ancient inhabitants of Scotland built these huge stone towers. (Google Broch if you need to know more.) A very strange idea given the enormous time and effort involved. Then "ours" was apparently deliberately demolished and completely obliterated. Another very strange thing to do. Speculation is that the Romans did it.
Anyway, that's why my entry is a photo of part of the excavation.
How very interesting! Wish I could come and have a look.
Well, I suppose strange ideas are strange ideas, mostly for/to other people.
Jinky's camera for instance, is a bit strange to me, but I'm sure, it's the ultimate accessory for the vegan green brigade.
In case none of my wilder ideas come to fruition, I'm in for now with my reserve shot. I bet none of the expat kids went to see him . .

Best self portrait you`ve ever done H ;)
Glad you think it would sell R - I thought it might be a bit of a lemon - well oranges and lime anyway :D. Or should a say a bitter lemon?

Bitter lemon goes quite well with gin, almost as well as tonic, so let's keep it at that.
And I'm sure it would sell.
You should freeze it in a boxshaped container filled with water, making sure it will be in the middle and not on the bottom. Once it's deeply frozen and you have a good thick layer of ice all round it, you can take it out on special occasions (dinner parties, weddings, exhibitions etc), and display it for a while, on an attractive drip tray, before refreezing.
Make sure some guests send some pictures to a national broadsheet, and the internet and hey presto: world famous!
I decided to enter this one.
Strange Fashion Ideas.

'Bee' socks and bright yellow laces have their place, but I don't think this is it.

This made me laugh Reinardina. Very well spotted (or should I say striped..lol).
You asked for strange ideas and you got strange ideas.....Please don't show the children, it might scare them.........

My idea was very strange indeed (and I am beginning wondering if I am strange too...). The idea was a portrait, with the face distorted beyond recognition, by the model wearing elastic bands. Strangely, no one would model for me............

A Snippy Snap of Snappy Snips.
A bit of a Spoonerism for this title.

Since he was a schoolteacher I always though Dr Wooner was a spanker! :legit:
Good to see such a broad range of shots :)
Determined not to rely upon post processing to insert or overlay strangeness I'm in with Bending Light!
(http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/albums/userpics/11049/normal_bendingair.jpg) (http://cameracraniums.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=12414&fullsize=1)
Taking this aspect in reality into account; An arrangement in variable heating introduced into camera equipment will bend the light counteracting and compensating for all lens distortion. 8) I wonder which company will bring the first ones into the marketplace  Who knows, someday all cameras may have fish eye lenses as their standard lens Alan ;)
Well I think mine is almost normal compared with some of these amazing strangenesses. Mine's a simple cheese sandwich, left n the seats of the tube station. Forgetting something is not particularly strange, bit it was the idea of balancing it neatly on the arm of the chair and then forgetting it that I found strange!
