Hello all,

I've not been around for quite a while, about 2 years I think, oh I'm Mike by the way.  I changed jobs about two years ago and it seemed to take over my world, all hobbies went out of the window. Things are now quieter now so getting some of my life back and that includes photography, also becoming active on here.

It is good to see so many familiar faces still here on CC, really hope you are all well.

I've had a change of heart on camera equipment, I realised that I was fed up with dragging around a rucksack full of dslr equipment whenever I went anywhere, so I sold body and all lenses and bought a compact camera with one lens, it nearly fits into a coat pocket!!

Just voted in the latest comp and will hopfully be joining in soon

I don't tend to lug the full pack around any more either. Still have it, but take a point and shoot mostly.

I wish I was as brave as you. My arms still feel like dropping off after a day shooting.
I tend to take less and less kit with me. (And miss the stuff I left at home without fail!)

The more the merrier, as long as you stick to the competition rules.

The rules were slightly changed, and I cannot remember whether you were still a regular when they changed, but if not: you can now start shooting, the minute the new brief is published. This gives you some extra time to get your shot.

I tend to go light if I'm out and about and just take a small bag and a couple of lenses - but if I'm doing something bigger, then the lot goes out! I'll be taking the lot to the Le Mans Classic this year for sure!
